Marshals come out on top in six team match at Calvert City

CALVERT CITY – Marshall County’s golf team hosted six schools Thursday at Calvert City Country Club. The Marshall boys came out on top with a team score of 160 led by Quinn Eaton with a 1-under 35, D.J. Pigg shot 39, Jay Nimmo 41 and Peyton Porter and Grant Hackney both shot 45.

Calloway County took second with a team score of 171 from Tanner Hicks (41), Ty Gallimore (42), Garrison Capps (43) and Conner Steele (45).
Third place went to Ballard Memorial with 176 from T.J. Wray (39), Mason Allen (44), Brady Cox (45) and Coy Cox and Matt Grogan (48).

Livington Central took fourth with a team score of 178 led by Jacob Belt (41), Gabe Williams (42), Cameron Head (46) and Darit Barnes (48).
Fifth place went to Paducah Tilghman with 215 from Sammy Lamabert (51), Isaac Humphrey (54), Simon Bickerstaff (55) and Eli Workman (55).

Christian Fellowship was sixth with a team score of 231 by Gavin Cypret (49), Logan Draffen (54), Elijah Toth (56) and Richy Phillips (72).

The Marshall County girls recorded the only team score of 171 led by Bailey Tyree with the low round of 36, Hallie Riley and Savannah Howell each shot 43 and Kennadi Spraggs shot 49.
