11th annual Carson Center’s Distiller’s Dinner features Bourbon Hall of Fame historian and author

PADUCAH – Al Young, historian and brand ambassador for Four Roses Distillery, will be the featured guest at the 11th annual Carson Center Distiller’s Dinner on Saturday, October 17.

Author of a book titled “Four Roses, The Return of a Whiskey Legend,” Young was inducted into the prestgious Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame in 2011.  He has a wealth of industry knowledge and experience that spans four decades.

The Distiller’s Dinner will take place at the Carson Center in historic downtown Paducah, Kentucky.  The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a reception with Mr. Young.  He will make informal remarks during the evening.  Live music will be provided by classical guitarist Brent Webster of the Murray State University music faculty.  Artisan Kitchen will serve a gourmet dinner in a beautiful setting on stage in the main theatre.  The menu includes appetizers, roasted butternut squash soup, bourbon poached pear salad, roasted beef tenderloin with blood orange bourbon butter, and autumn harvest cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream.  Beverage options are Four Roses single barrel bourbon, Four Roses cocktails, house wine or beer, and coffee.

Roof Brothers Wine & Spirits is the event sponsor.  Proceeds will benefit the Carson Center, which is a nonprofit regional performing arts center that presents Broadway productions, concerts by nationally acclaimed performing artists, an educational series for children and youth, family-friendly performances, and faith-based performances.
