Marshall County, Christian Fellowship volleyball rivalry match a thriller

DRAFFENVILLE – When Marshall County and Christian Fellowship cross Hwy. 68 and go the short distance for a volleyball match you can always count on it being a competitive, exciting match.

Thursday was no different as the two teams battled for five games with the Lady Marshals coming out on top 3-2.
The Lady Marshals won the first game 25-18 and CFS matched that score taking the second game 25-18.

Pulling away by a larger margin in the third game, the Lady Marshals won 25-7 as CFS battled back into the match winning the fourth game 25-17, tying the match 2-2.

In the fifth and final game, the Lady Marshals earned the win by taking the game 15-8. This was the first loss of the season for CFS who are now 3-1 while the Lady Marshals extend their record to 7-2.

The Lady Eagles will play again Saturday against White Station, TN, at St. Mary’s Episcopal School at 1:00. The Lady Marshals will travel to Ballard Memorial next for a match on September 1st.
