Marshall County Sheriff’s Report – July 2

sheriffOn Wednesday July 1st, Deputy Nathan Maxlow conducted a traffic stop on West 5th Street in Benton in reference to a subject having an active warrant from Calloway County. A check by dispatch revealed that the subject’s operator’s license was suspended. The subject’s current residence also differed from what was listed on his suspended license. Corey L. Conner 33, of Benton, was placed under arrest for his current warrant and also charged with Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License, No Operators-Moped License, Possessing License when Privileges are Revoked, Failure to Notify Address Change to Dept. of Transportation, Failure to Produce Insurance Card and Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance.

On Wednesday July 1st, Deputy Nathan Maxlow was dispatched to the area of KY 402 in reference to a complaint of a red car traveling at a high rate of speed. Dispatch received another call indicating that the same vehicle had wrecked and struck a fence at a residence on Nanney Neal Rd. Upon arrival, Deputy Maxlow could hear the subject revving the engine and also observed the subject rolling a marijuana joint while sitting behind the wheel. When the male subject exited the vehicle and noticed Deputy Maxlow’s vehicle, he attempted to go inside the house. Deputy Maxlow stopped him and placed him under arrest. An odor of alcohol was also present on the subject’s breath. Deputy Maxlow located rolling papers, an open bottle of whiskey and marijuana in the vehicle. Zachary P. Kondratko 21, of Almo, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance, Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

On Thursday July 2nd, Deputy Nathan Maxlow was dispatched to assist Sgt. Samantha Mighell with a possible DUI on US Hwy. 68 East. Upon arrival, Sgt. Mighell advised Deputy Maxlow that she observed the subject sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and a strong odor of alcohol was present. The field sobriety test showed many indications of the subject being under the influence. Sean K. Baker 29, of Paducah, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Operating on a Suspended or Revoked License, Possessing a License when Privileges are Revoked, Failure to Notify Address Change to Dept of Transportation, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance, No Registration Receipt and No Registration Plates.

All subjects were lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
