UPDATED: The portion of US Hwy 62 closed for investigation of the crash has re-opened.
MARSHALL COUNTY – KYTC spokesman Kieth Todd has confirmed at least one fatality following a crash on Hwy 62 at the U.S. 641 Interchange at Kentucky Dam Village State Park. The crash occurred at approximately 6:15 pm and continues to block the Tennessee River Bridge below Kentucky Dam at the Marshall-Livingston County Line.
Shortly before 9:00pm Todd announced that the duration of the crash reconstruction investigation is now estimated at an additional 8 hours. Highway 62 has been shut down both ways from Marshall County and Livingston County to Kentucky Dam. Traffic is being re-routed via I-24 and KY 453.
