On Thursday May 28th Deputy Nathan Maxlow was sitting near the Jonathan Creek Bridge on US 68 E when he observed a vehicle driving erratically. Deputy Maxlow witnessed the vehicle turn into Beal Road and accelerated and was not able to catch up to it until it turned into a driveway.
The subject stepped out of the vehicle and was very unsteady on his feet and Deputy Maxlow noticed a strong odor of alcohol present on the subject. The field sobriety test was conducted and indicators were present for being under the influence.
Deputy Maxlow located an open beer in the cab of the truck. Everette E. Duncan Jr. 46, of Paducah, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle.
