Hendrickson to play in U.S. Women’s Open qualifier

Marshall County graduate and Mizzou-bound golfer, Cayce Hendrickson, will play Tuesday in the U.S. Women’s Open Sectional Qualifier at St. Claire Country Club in Belleville, IL.

St. Clair Country Club will play host to one of 25 Sectional Qualifying sites, 22 in the United States and three International sites.  Seventy-seven US Women’s Open hopefuls will make their way to Belleville, IL on Tuesday, June 2, in an attempt to secure two of the spots allocated from this site.

Cayce will join Princeton and University of Alabama’s Emma Talley, who recently won the NCAA Division 1 Golf Championship, at the one-day 36 hole event.

Cayce has finished runner-up in two events she has played in this spring and has a full schedule this summer which includes the West Kentucky College Showcase at Drake Creek, the prestigious Bubba Conlee National in Memphis, the U.S. Amateur qualifier in Suwannee, Ga., the Women’s Open in Louisville and the Florence Paxton Memorial in Paducah.
