Marshall County Sheriff’s Report – May 26

sheriffAlcohol Intoxication
On May 23rd at 10:14 pm, Deputy Barry Howell was dispatched to the water treatment plant in Benton in reference to an intoxicated person. Upon arrival, Deputy Howell found Andrew M. Pillion age 22 of Murray, laying on the ground smelling strongly of an alcoholic beverage. Pillion was charged with Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place and lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.

Alcohol Intoxication
On May 23rd at approximately 8:45 pm, Deputy Dan Melone was dispatched to a disturbance on Sam Bryant Road near Draffenville. Deputy Melone’s investigation revealed that Blake T. Zeiter age 26 of Benton was intoxicated and had assaulted a 13 year old neighbor. Deputy Melone arrested Zeiter for Alcohol Intoxication. He was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center. Charges are pending for the assault.

DUI
On May 22nd at approximately 8:49 pm, Deputy Nathan Maxlow was dispatched to the area of Dunn Cemetery Road in reference to a disturbance. Prior to the Deputies arrival, Central Dispatch informed the officers that a vehicle had left the scene. Deputy Maxlow found a vehicle matching the description on US 68. His investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, James R. Eddington age 26 of Karnak, Illinois. Eddington was charged with DUI, Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Wear Seat Belt. Eddington was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center
