Bright gets the win, Jaco homers, in Marshals 4-2 win over Graves County

DRAFFENVILLE – Chase Bright got the win on the mound in five innings for the Marshals over Graves County Thursday in their 4-2 victory.
Graves County took an early 1-0 lead in the third but the Marshals followed that up with two runs in the inning on a single by Dylan Givens that scored Bright and Cody Clark.

Hunter Jaco put the Marshals up 3-1 leading off in the fourth, on a solo home run on his first swing.
Graves County closed the Marshall lead to 3-2 in the fifth on a RBI single by Austin Jones.

The Marshals scored one more in the bottom of the sixth that began with a 2-out double by Blake Johnson and single by Bright that set Johnson up at third, going on to advance to home plate on a throw for the score and a 4-2 lead that held to the end.

The win moves the Marshals to 19-8 on the season and they will take the field again tonight at Hickman County and then back home on Saturday against Hopkinsville in the Dreammaker Classic.
