Weekend proves busy for emergency responders with multiple collisions, brush and structure fires

fire5Emergency responders have been spread thin over the weekend following several vehicular collisions, brush fires and a large structure fire in Hardin on Saturday. On Friday, a multi-vehicle collision involving a tour bus on I-24 eastbound near the 19 mile-marker injured at least two people.

Then on Saturday morning, a motorcycle collision on Eggners Ferry Rd. injured the rider and delayed traffic in the area. wreck2Firefighters responded to a report of a brush fire a short time later on Foust Sledd Rd. before multiple departments were dispatched to a structure fire on Watkins Street in Hardin.
This morning, responders were dispatched to Murray Highway to a report of a vehicular collision with entrapment and a report of an injured juvenile.

And just before 3 p.m. this afternoon, a head-on collision was reported in the 9000 block of US Highway 62. A a short time later, firefighters were called to a report of a brush fire on Slaughter Road in Benton.
