Several PR’s set at Murray for Marshall County track team

MURRAY – Marshall County’s boys took first and girls second in a five-team meet at Murray High on Tuesday in a meet that saw many PR’s by individuals and in relays for the Marshall team.

Top finishes came from Nathan Solomon (52.57) and Robert Blankenship in 800  meters taking first and second. Solomon also placed second in the 200 meters and first in the long jump (18’4″).

Drey Reed placed first in the high jump (5’10”) while Casey Gregory took two firsts in field events in the pole vault (11’6″) and the triple jump (38’2.5″).

Stephanie Russell placed first in the 300 meter hurdles (48.94) and second in the 100 meter hurdles.
Jack Brown and Tyler Hega continue to compete well in hurdles taking second and third in the 110 meter hurdles and Hega going on to take second in the 300 meter high hurdles.

Sydney Nelson was first in shot put (29’7″) with Rachel Prange taking third.
Sydney Goff added a pair of second place finishes in the 100 meter hurdles and the 200 meters and was part of a trio of pole vaulters who took third through fifth which included Haley Swift in third, Goff fourth and Audrey Grizzard fifth.

Kara Kelley and Jennifer Townsend went two-three in the 100 meters and Kelley, along with Brandy Baas, Goff and Russell captured second in the 4 x 100 relay.

Jacob Carnine and Joseph Reed placed second and third in the 3200 meters, Lexie Myers took third in the 400 meters, Kaylie Riley third in high jump, Justin Robinson second in long jump, Aaron Reed third in triple jump and Keagin Brooks and Emily Colley placed third and fourth in the discuss.

Three relay teams took third, both the girls and boys 4 x 800 and the girls 4 x 400.
