DRAFFENVILLE – Lane Roberts signed his letter of intent Thursday to play football for Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro. Roberts will bring to the Panthers a versatile skill set that saw him excel as a quarterback, receiver and defensive back for the Marshals over the past two seasons.

He led the Marshals in passing this past season with 38 completions, seven of which resulted in touchdowns. Roberts was also involved on the receiving end with eight receptions for 148 yards and one touchdown. On the defensive side, he contributed by making 30 tackles on the year.

Roberts will be joining fellow teammate, Iverson Ware, at Kentucky Wesleyan, both part of the 2015 signing class.
He is the third Marshall County football player to sign to play beyond high school following Ware and Collin Travis who committed to play at Murray State.
