Marshall County track athlete, Sydney Goff, signs with Kentucky Wesleyan College

BENTON – Sydney Goff, a senior member of the Marshall County Track Team, signed on Thursday to run track for Kentucky Wesleyan College. Kentucky Wesleyan is a Division II NCAA school located in Owensboro, Ky.

Sydney has been a member of the varsity track team since 8th grade and currently runs a 16.44 in the 100 meter hurdles and placed 14th in that event at the 2014 KHSAA State Track and Field Meet.

A versatile track athlete, Sydney competes in the long jump with a personal best jump of 14’7.75″ and the triple jump where her personal best is 30’4.5″.
Sydney also competes in the 200 meter dash with a personal best of 27.9 seconds.

On top of these individual accomplishments, Sydney is an integral part of the Marshall County 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 relay teams which have run some of the top times in school history.
Kentucky Wesleyan plans to use her as a multi-event athlete and a possible heptathlon athlete.
